ABSTRACT:
This lecture will cover how to create a digital smile design for direct restorations and key differences between a wax-up intended for indirect approaches.
We will talk about key aspects that need to be communicated with the technicians and factors that need to be considered if orthodontic treatment takes place. Further we will investigate how to test a mock-up design of our wax-up and create an accurate silicone index for it. Lastly, we will cover how to create a silicone index to create a composite palatal shell with tips and tricks to make it fast and bubble free.
The lecture will cover composite material choices while also show how to modify the palatal shell post-curing to reduce chances of fractures.
